This is being sold at a local dealer that's like 3 miles from me. Its an 02 and they are asking 4,352. It has a a missing emblem on their front and a few scratches and a small dent on the sidre. What do you guys think?

Would rather have a better condition NA for the same/cheaper price.

Mileage? Links to a listing? I'm leaning CP at this point.

Only if they'll go under $4k. Tell 'em you'd like to make it a nice round number, and offer $3800.

Based on a sample size of one, the kind of dealer who puts funny prices on cars instead of normal ones is going to dick you around every other way too.
Yes, I'm looking at you, Mr Oddprice Motors of north London.

I thought about that too. Especially considering the little damage in the front. Its an auto too.

For some reason, the odd price number is odd. Why not just $4350?
Anyway, how many miles? It is manuel, yes?

An auto? that's another $200 off... lol

Definite CP. High mileage, dealer, looks like tape on the soft top, cosmetic damage. Wait for the right one to come around.

I'd probably look to pass on it if the mileage is remotely high. As somebody else said, you can get a mint, low mileage NA for $4000 (not sure if you like them). I'd hold off on this one for now and look for a slightly better NB at the least.

I hate to say it, but buying an automatic Miata is not a good decision unless you're looking for an economy car that you can put the top down on. Even with the 6 speed automatic and "paddle shifters", it's almost no fun at all. For $4,000 you can have a nice 5 speed NA.
